Welcome to the World of Scuba Diving where you are about to encounter an exciting new adventure in a unique environment
Learning to dive can be a nerve-racking experience and we understand this, which is why we make learning to dive fun, easy and a really great experience. Our Crew of PADI professionals are highly trained to make your diving experience a great one.
So, let us take you through the steps you need to take to start off your Diving Adventures
To learn to dive you must be at least 12 years of age and be generally fit and healthy. There are some medical conditions which would exempt you from being allowed to dive, and you are required to complete a PADI Medical Declaration to determine this before being allowed to continue. If you have to answer yes to any of the medical questions, please contact us as this may not necessarily mean you are exempt, you may just need to get advice from a diving doctor.
You need to be able to swim, but you do not need to be a strong swimmer. You are required to complete a 200m swim test and a 10 minute float or tread water test.
You could start off by participating in a PADI Discover Scuba Experience Programme in the swimming pool to see whether you feel comfortable with continuing on to a full level PADI Open Water certificate. If you sign up for an Open Water Course within 7 days of completing a Discover Scuba programme we will give you £15 discount off the cost of your Open Water Course
Your open water dives will take place at Stoney Cove in Leicestershire. This is a totally safe dive site and has the best rescue facilities of any inland dive site. There are no underground currents, caves or anything to get entangled on. While under instruction it is a requirement for every dive school to provide at least 2 staff in the water with you at all times and one person performing surface support duties. We operate in accordance with the HSE Executive Diving at Work Regulations 1997.
